Meet Alexandra Brown

Registered Psychotherapist
Alexandra Brown is a Registered Psychotherapist who has been practicing full-time since 2017. She provides psychodynamic psychotherapy with a warm, open, and collaborative approach, creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences, better understand themselves, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Alexandra works with adolescents and adults and provides therapy in individual, couple, and group settings. She has a special interest in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, parenting, career changes, entrepreneurship, healthy relationships, late-life identity, spirituality, and trauma. Alexandra also holds a Trauma Certificate from Wilfrid Laurier University, further supporting her trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy.
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Alexandra understands that beginning therapy and exploring the deeper parts of ourselves can take courage. Her approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, inclusivity, and cultural awareness. She believes in meeting each client where they are and walking alongside them through the process of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth.
Through psychodynamic psychotherapy, Alexandra helps clients explore thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationship patterns that may exist outside of their immediate awareness. By developing a greater understanding of these patterns and how they may be influencing the present, clients can begin to develop new perspectives, responses, and ways of relating to themselves and others.
Life Outside the Clinic
Outside of her practice, Alexandra is a mother of two and stepmother to two. She is also the co-founder of a not-for-profit arts organization and a former restaurateur. Her own path eventually led her to psychotherapy, where she recognized a deep sense of calling and purpose. She feels deeply privileged to support others as they navigate their own journeys toward greater understanding, connection, and well-being.
