Meet Claudia Fragnelli, Athletic Therapist
Claudia received her Honours BA in Kinesiology at Western University and her Honours BAHSc in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Claudia grew up in Vaughan playing competitive soccer. Her interest in sport, health, and anatomy led her to pursue a career in Athletic Therapy.
While at Western, Claudia worked as a Student Athletic Therapist with the Women’s Ice Hockey team, where she was responsible for pre-and post-game assisted stretching and strapping, as well as on ice injury management.
She continued her post-graduate studies at Sheridan. While studying at Sheridan, she worked with Ryerson University’s Women’s Soccer and Volleyball teams, where she continued to develop her on-field injury recognition and management skills, as well as advance her clinical assessment and treatment skills.
Claudia has been in practice since 2011 and has extensive experience working with various populations ranging from the industrial athlete and weekend warrior to the casually active and sedentary senior. Claudia specializes in the assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries which is applied through manual techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription. She believes that communication and patient education are fundamental for an effective rehabilitation program and believes in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery, drawing inspiration and knowledge from fellow healthcare practitioners.
Claudia is a member in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario as well as the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. She is also a Certified First Responder through the Canadian Red Cross.
Outside of the office, Claudia enjoys playing golf and traveling with her husband Cameron and daughter Lia.
