Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a gentle, one-on-one assisted stretching technique designed to help improve mobility, flexibility, and overall movement. Unlike traditional stretching, FST works with both the muscles and the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles, joints, and other structures throughout the body.

Using the Stretch to Win® method, your therapist guides your body through smooth, pain-free movements and stretches while incorporating breathing techniques to help reduce tension and encourage greater freedom of movement. Each session is individualized based on your mobility, areas of restriction, lifestyle, and personal goals.

Who Can Benefit from FST?

Fascial Stretch Therapy can be a great option for people of all activity levels. You may benefit from FST if you are:

  • Experiencing stiffness, tightness, or restricted movement
  • Looking to improve flexibility or range of motion
  • An athlete wanting to support mobility, performance, or recovery
  • Experiencing tension related to repetitive movements or prolonged sitting
  • Returning to activity after physical strain
  • Looking to move more comfortably in everyday life
You don’t need to be an athlete—or already flexible—to benefit from Fascial Stretch Therapy.

What to Expect

FST sessions are performed on a treatment table while you remain fully clothed in comfortable, flexible clothing. Your therapist will guide your body through a series of gentle, assisted stretches based on your individual needs and goals.
Treatments should feel comfortable and are not about forcing your body into a stretch. Instead, the goal is to work with your body to gradually improve movement and help you feel more mobile and less restricted.

At Flourish Family Chiropractic, Fascial Stretch Therapy is provided by Rowan Edwards, Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist through Stretch to Win Canada.
